A misdemeanor charge of battery was filed today, April 20, 2015, against South Daytona Police Investigator John Zachary Pickett stemming from an altercation that took place in the backseat of a South Daytona patrol vehicle between Pickett and Parker Neil Beasley, 26, of South Daytona.
As this case is currently pending, this office will make no further comment until it is resolved.
