State of Florida v. Adam D. Steele
DOB: 09/29/1986
Case Number: 2020 101230 CFDL
Steele Sentenced to 105 Years in Prison for Child Sex Abuse, Pornography
DELAND – During a hearing this afternoon, defendant Adam Steele was sentenced to 105 years in prison followed by lifetime sex offender probation. Steele pled in September to Lewd/Lascivious Molestation of Victim Less Than 12 Years of Age, 10 counts of Promoting Sexual Performance by a Child and 30 counts of Possession of Sexual Performance by a Child.
“The defendant photographed our 2-year-old victim during the sexual molestation,” State Attorney R.J. Larizza said about the case. “While 105 years is likely a lifetime, no amount of time seems enough for what the defendant did to an innocent and helpless child.”
The case was investigated by the Volusia Sheriff’s Office. Assistant State Attorney Megan Upchurch successfully prosecuted the case for the state. The Honorable Randell Rowe III presided over the case and pronounced sentence.
