Bush-Conn Sentenced to Life in Prison

Tyler Bush-Conn, who previously entered a guilty plea on September 28, 2018, to 2 counts of Capital Sexual Battery, Lewd and Lascivious Molestation, and 20 counts of child pornography, was sentenced to life in prison today. Assistant State Attorney Jeanne Stratis, of the State Attorney's Career Criminal Unit, prosecuted the case and Judge Raul Zambrano imposed sentence. Read More >>

A grand jury Nov. 15 determined 15-year-old Gregory Ramos — accused of strangling to death his mother, Gale Cleavenger, in their DeBary home and, with the help of two friends, burying her under a fire pit at a nearby church — will be charged as an adult with first-degree murder. A Volusia County Jury deliberated late into the evening of October 10, 2018, before convicting Henry Sowers, 65, of Capital Sexual Battery, following a two-day trial that ran until 6pm.
