Harry “Big Al” Robinson, Jr. gets 15 Years’ Prison in Cocaine Sale
PALATKA – A Palatka man previously convicted by a Putnam County Jury on Wednesday, August 17, 2016, following a jury trial on a felony Sale of Cocaine charge was sentenced today, September 13, 2016, to 15 years in a state prison facility. Harry James “Big Al” Robinson, Jr., 48, was sentenced to maximum possible sentence on the second degree felony charge.
On August 13, 2014, investigators with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office equipped a confidential informant with audio and visual recording capabilities. The source then purchased cocaine from Mr. Robinson, Jr.’s Palatka home.
Robinson has an extensive criminal history including 2 prior felony drug sales, 4 felony possession of drugs, 1 felony tampering charge, and 17 misdemeanor convictions.
Assistant State Attorney Alex Sharp, of the State Attorney’s Drug Unit, prosecuted the case. Circuit Judge Clyde Wolfe presided over the case and pronounced sentence.
