Stokes indicted on first degree murder, discharge of a firearm from a vehicle, possession of firearm by a delinquent

DELAND – Today, a Volusia Grand Jury indicted Kevin Stokes, 18, on charges of first degree murder of 19-year-old Daemon Carn, discharge of a firearm from a vehicle, and possession of a firearm by a delinquent. 

“Murder is always tragic, but when the crime involves kids killing kids, tragic is an understatement,” said State Attorney R.J. Larizza. “The defendant was indicted for First Degree Murder and now life as he knew it is gone. He will be held accountable for – and face the brutal consequences of – his criminal episode.”
