Retired Deputy Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison, Probation for Child Sex Crimes

 

DAYTONA BEACH – Edward Lueck, 69, was sentenced today, May 24, 2016 to 15 years in a state prison facility after entering a “no contest” plea to a charge of Lewd and Lascivious Molestation of a Child and 19 counts of Possession of Child Pornography on April 20, 2016. Lueck, of Daytona Beach, a former Volusia County Sheriff’s Deputy, will be placed on 25 years of sex-offender probation upon his release from prison.

 

The fifteen-year prison sentence and subsequent probation spared the victim in this case from having to go through a traumatic trial process.

 

Assistant State Attorney Tammy Jaques, of the State Attorney’s Career Criminal Unit, prosecuted the case. Circuit Judge Terence R. Perkins presided over the case and pronounced sentence.
