State of Florida v. Paul Daniel Lippman
DOB: 10/01/1989
Case Number: 2022 304522 CFDB
Volusia County man convicted of raping woman while her toddler was in her bed
DAYTONA BEACH – After a one-day trial this afternoon, a Volusia County jury found defendant Paul Lippman guilty as charged of Sexual Battery by person 18 years or older on person 18 years or older and Burglary with an Assault or Battery. As a Prison Releasee Reoffender, Lippman was sentenced to life in prison for the crimes immediately following the verdict.
“The defendant was released from prison in June 2022 and three months later he raped a woman," State Attorney R.J. Larizza said about the case. “By his own actions, he has forfeited any right or privilege to live in our free and law-abiding society. This case epitomizes the absolute necessity and solemn duty we as prosecutors have to hold criminals accountable and protect the public.”
The case was investigated by the Edgewater Police Department. Assistant State Attorney Mark Interlicchio successfully tried the case for the state. The Honorable Raul Zambrano presided over the case and pronounced sentence.
